Creator of The Positive Path Method™
Author of The Positive Path to NO™ and The Positive Path to NO™: Student Success Edition
Ockemia Bean, MSBA, is the Founder of O.So. Inspirational, Inc., creator of The Positive Path Method™, and author of two books: The Positive Path to NO™ and the newly released The Positive Path to NO™: Student Success Edition. She is a speaker, leadership development facilitator, organizational strategist, and educator who helps individuals, teams, students, and organizations strengthen communication, lead with intention, and create meaningful, lasting change.
For more than 25 years, Ockemia has worked across corporate, nonprofit, educational, entrepreneurial, and faith-based organizations, helping leaders improve communication, strengthen relationships, develop people, and navigate organizational challenges. Her work bridges research and real-world application, transforming complex behavioral concepts into practical strategies people can immediately apply in their leadership, workplaces, classrooms, and everyday lives.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business, where she earned a Master of Science in Business Administration (MSBA), Ockemia's work is grounded in a deep curiosity about human behavior, communication, leadership, and the decisions that shape our relationships and organizations. She is committed to translating research into experiences that create measurable, sustainable change.
Rather than delivering traditional presentations, Ockemia designs engaging learning experiences that encourage reflection, honest conversation, and practical application. Every keynote, workshop, coaching engagement, and consulting partnership is built upon The Positive Path Method™ — her signature methodology for helping people communicate with greater intention, make values-aligned decisions, strengthen relationships, and create lasting behavioral change.
Today, Ockemia partners with organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, faith communities, and businesses to develop leaders, strengthen teams, and create cultures where people and performance thrive.
Her books bring The Positive Path Method™ off the stage and into readers' hands. The Positive Path to NO™ helps adults replace guilt with clarity, communicate with confidence, and make intentional decisions aligned with their values. The Student Success Edition extends that same framework to students navigating the academic, personal, and professional demands of college and early career life.
When people change how they communicate, they change how they lead. When they change how they lead, they change everything around them.
My Philosophy
I believe meaningful transformation begins with intentional choices.
Every conversation, every decision, and every relationship shapes who we become and the impact we have on others.
When people communicate with clarity, lead with integrity, strengthen relationships, and make values-aligned decisions, they don't simply become more effective.
They become more authentic.
More connected.
More resilient.
More aligned with the life they want to build and the difference they want to make.
That belief is the foundation of The Positive Path Method™ and every O.So. Inspirational experience.

Beyond the Stage
For Ockemia, every keynote, workshop, classroom, and consulting engagement is an opportunity to create lasting impact — not just lasting inspiration.
Her goal isn't simply to motivate people in the moment. It's to equip them with practical tools, meaningful insights, and actionable strategies they can continue using long after the experience ends.
Because lasting change doesn't happen through information alone. It happens through intentional action.
